Richter Research Institute
The Richter Research Institute (formerly Richter Institute of Social Work Research) established in 1997, strives to promote research, scholarly efforts and professional enhancement activities for faculty, students and the community in support of the School’s mission of providing innovative leadership in social work education for the region, state and nation. The Institute provides support for the expanding research and development activities in the School, conducting an array of projects funded by diverse entities including the private sector and federal, state and local agencies. The research conducted in the Institute and the School encompasses such wide-ranging topics as program evaluation, child welfare, disabilities and criminal justice. The outcomes of these projects have effected policy and practice across diverse agencies and fields of practice.
