Project Description:  Mr. Chumbley is a recent graduate from Texas A&M University with a BS in Agriculture Science.  He is currently working on his masters at Texas State while working on many projects within the Department of Agriculture. He is the newest addition to the staff as the Texas State Livestock Judging Team Coach. He will be recruiting, developing, and training current and future Texas State students to compete at Collegiate Livestock Judging Events across the nation. In addition to this, he will be teaching the labs for Animal Husbandry course (AG 1445).  He is excited for the challenge and looks forward to future successes at Texas State.

Project Description: This is Ms. Geis’ first semester as a Graduate Assistant; at this point she is primarily focused on course management (i.e. grading, managing course websites) for Dr. Michelle Toews, professor and graduate advisor in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences.

Research/Project Description:  Ms. Navarro is currently working on the University Success Project with Drs. Michelle Toews and Ani Yazedjian, which is a longitudinal study examining individual, familial, and cultural factors as predictors of academic adjustment and achievement. They are currently working on a manuscript based upon some of the data derived from the study, as well presenting a poster at the National Council on Family Relations conference.  She has also worked as a program evaluation intern for Dr. Michelle Toews’ “Strengthening Relationships” project, which provides relationship education to adolescent parents.  In relation to her instructional duties, her primarily focus is on course management (i.e. grading, managing course websites, etc.) and is occasionally called on to substitute teach undergraduate Family and Child Development courses, such as Family Relationships, Problems in Adolescence, and Families and Sexuality.
