The College of Applied Arts (CAA) hosted an Inaugural Hooding Ceremony for Master’s students graduating in December of 2008. This event is the first of its kind at the College level at Texas State University-San Marcos. This is a way to recognize the achievements accomplished by the dedicated graduate students at Texas State. The CAA is comprised of the Family and Consumer Sciences, Criminal Justice, Agricultural Education and Occupational Education Departments. The School of Social Work joined the College in the Fall of 2009.
The CAA Hooding Ceremony recognizes scholarly achievement, celebrates research and academic rigor and provides an additional opportunity to showcase the scholarly achievements and talent molded by Texas State faculty and programs. This intimate ceremony honors students and provides closure to a milestone in their lives among their faculty, family and friends.
This event is in addition to the campus wide Commencement Ceremonies taking place to honor all graduates.
